Abstract:Altyn area is a potential area of exploration for gold, copper, lead, zinc and other minerals. However, conventional geological survey is difficult in this area, because the natural environment is harsh. In the “remote sensing integrated survey on mineral exploration in Altyn Metallogenic Belt ”project, high spatial resolution and multi (high) spectral resolution remote sensing data are used to make high resolution remote sensing image map. And abnormal information about Fe3+, Al—OH, Mg—OH and CO32-, has been extracted and selected. Also remote sensing interpretations of lithology and structure have been completed in different scales. Based on field investigation and typical deposit research, remote sensing is applied to ore prediction, and two structural altered gold mineralization clues are found in Beketan, Altyn. In this paper, the mineralization mechanism of structural altered gold deposit has been summarized, and prospecting direction in this area has been pointed out.
