Abstract:Human activity is the catalyst to mine geological environment evolution, and mineral resources exploitation has the inevitability, comprehensive damage and lag and chain-amplified effects. The eastern Hubei Province was surveyed using remote sensing technology for the project requirements, including mining land occupancy, geological disasters and geological environment. The results show that the eastern mine area in Hubei Province was 7 339.29 hm2 in 2013 and increased 1 065.44 hm2 in 2014. There were 61 mine geological disasters, mainly distributing in the border land of rock of Echeng, Tieshan, Jinshandian, Lingxiang, Yinzu and Yangxin, and these disaster distribution has the spatical difference. From the perspective of ecological civilization, it requires us to build up the idea that green hills and clear waters are invaluable assets, convert the development concepts and protect the mine geological and ecological environment. The results also show that the regional unbalance existed in mine geological environment and mine recovery. The strength and speed of mining geological environment restoration in Wuhan and Huangshi and the effect of mine recovery in their suburban areas are better than those in other areas.
