Abstract In order to evaluate the mineral resource potential of Xuzhou scientifically and reasonably and to seek resource advantages for the sustainable development of the region′s economy and society, we have sorted out the multi-source data normatively and unified spatial coordinates based on existing data. With the help of MapGIS and Access software, we have preliminarily established a geological database for foundational mineral and resources in Xuzhou. This database is a combination of spatial data and attributes data. In light of the requirements of this project, the special database established under specifications lays foundations for potential evaluation work of modern mineral resources in this area.
