Glacier change and ecogeological environment response in Tibetan Plateau |

Abstract According to results of remote sensing investigation and monitoring for snow line of glaciers in Tibetan Plateau, the ecogeological environment, such as water resources, permafrost, desertification, wetlands, lakes, geological hazards, rising sea levels and earthquake are analyzed, which are caused by glacier changes in Tibetan Plateau of recent 40 years. The effects on ecological environment and climate in China and globe around are discussed.
