Abstract From the viewpoint of improving economic benefits of agriculture land, this paper investigated the distribution of selenium rich soil and geochemistry characteristics of heavy metals in the Taipingzhuang area of Suihua city by geochemistry method, and evaluated the soil quality. The results show that soil quality of the survey area is good and it is suitable for further development of selenium rich agricultural products. These products would further increase the income of local residents and government, and bring good economic benefits and social impact.
