Abstract With the increasingly serious problem of ground collapse in gypsum mining area of North Pizhou and in order to carry out the geo-disaster control work, the government made the plan of prevention and management for ground collapse in gypsum mining area in 2016. Through analysis of available data, collapse areas (those found) and field survey in gypsum mining area of North Pizhou, the authors explained the characteristics and hazards of ground collapse in gypsum mine goaf. In addition, they made the susceptibility evaluation of ground collapse using the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. Based on the results and population density, the authors put forward the method and measures for comprehensive treatment of the mine goaf and monitoring and early warning of ground collapse. This paper would provide some scientific reference for the geo-disaster control work of government and other similar geological areas.
