Aeromagnetic survey methods and main achievements in Keketuohai of Xijiang |

Abstract In order to strengthen the aero geophysical survey in the key metallogenic belts, China Geological Survey carried out an important mineral resources investigation plan and applied project. Based on the 1:50 000 aeromagnetic survey in Keketuohai of Xinjiang, the authors obtained the high quality data (45 992.6 km survey line) of aeromagnetic survey. They finished the physical property measurements of rocks in the study area and its surroundings, and acquired the magnetic parameters of all kinds of important rocks. The aeromagnetic series maps with abundant information and wide coverage were completed, which filled the gaps of aeromagnetic data in most parts of the study area and provided the new basic data for prospecting and regional tectonic research. The authors made ground verification for the key anomalies selected by aeromagnetic, and found out one magnetite rich ore, two copper mineralization alteration zones and twelve important prospecting clues, indicating an excellent prospecting effect.
