Progress and Achievements of Helium Gas Resources Survey in Weihe Basin
LI Yu-hong, WANG Xing-yun, HAN Wei
The project of “helium gas resources survey in Weihe Basin” focusing on the prospect of helium gas resources in Weihe basin is a plan project approved by China Geological Survey in 2013, and organized by Xi'an Center of Geological Survey. By multi units jointing, multi data sharing, and comprehensive geophysical and geochemical explorations, the helium gas accumulation models and survey methods have been preliminarily summarized. The resource rock, effective migration pathway, and reservoir of helium gas are the fundamental geological factors controlling helium gas accumulation, which have created the ideal conditions for helium and methane gas accumulation in Weihe basin. Furthermore, there are remnants of Upper Paleozoic coal measure strata at the basement of Cenozoic Weihe basin.

Major Progress and Achievements on Coupling Relationship of Magmatism and Metallogenesis in Late Paleozoic of Northern Xinjiang
ZHANG Zhao-wei, LI Wen-yuan, ZHANG Jiang-wei, WANG Ya-lei
The large scale of metallogenesis in northern Xinjiang is controlled by complicated tectonic evolution and magmatism evolution in Late Paleozoic. This paper focused on magmatic Cu-Ni deposits, porphyry Cu-Mo deposits, and volcanic magnetite deposits. Geological process of magma activity was studied by origin, evolution and mineralization characteristic of ore-bearing intrusions. On the basis of typical deposits analysis, metallogenic models of different deposit types were established, restricted factors in prospecting breakthrough were revealed, geological characteristics and mineralization features caused by activity of plate tectonics and mantle plume were proposed. Characteristics of petrology, geochronology, geochemistry, magmatism and mineralization of Tarim mantle plume were closely related with the typical deposits in northern Xinjiang, and these indicated the mineralization in northern Xinjiang was controlled by Tarim mantle plume and plate tectonics. It is inferred that constantly decreased continental subduction and strengthened mantle upwelling may be responsible for the metallogenesis in northern Xinjiang, and the melt mantle material upwelled and mixed crustal rocks along the margin of rigid Tarim craton.

Trace element geochemistry of the monzogranite also shows LILE enrichment and HFSE depletion. Most of the samples are concentrated on syn-collision and late orogenic tectonic settings in R

Based on above-stated petrological and geochemical data it is inferred that the monzogranite of Yichun might be derived from a syn-collision setting, the Jiamusi and Songnen massifs amalgamated together in Middle Cambrian, and the amalagamation may be responsible for the crustal derived syn-collisional granites.

Sedimentary Basin Analysis and Tectonic Evolution of the Early-Middle Jurassic Mugagangri Group in Kangtuo Area, Tibet
DENG Jin-huo, L Xin, ZHONG Jing-jun, WAN Chuan, YUAN Zhen-guo, DU Chang-fa, ZHONG Wen
The early-middle Jurassic Mugagangri Group widespread in the middle-western section of the Bangongco-Nujinag junction zone, the rock association seems like accordance from a macroscopic perspective. However, the chronostratigraphy is inconsistent in different areas since the establishment of Mugagangri Group; it is a tectonic melange with disorder sequence and complex composition. Taking the sedimentary basins as a whole, and according to features of sedimentary assemblage, sedimentary sequence, rock geochemistry, lithofacies, provenance, detrital model, basin classification, and tectonic evolution about the Mugagangri Group, the geodynamic background had been studied. We proposed that the early-middle Jurassic sedimentary environment of Kangtuo area corresponded to abyssal-bathyal facies of meso Tethys ocean basin; it was a suit of flysch clastic deposits of deepwater in fore-arc basin of passive continental margin. The tectonic evolution was divided into basin spreading period (basin spreading stage), and basin subduction period (southward subduction stage, bilateral subduction stage), and the Mugagangri Group can be divided into three lithology groups.

The Material Composition and Structural Deformation of Precambrian Strata in Fuyun area, Xinjiang
LIN Xin-wang, ZHANG Ya-feng, WANG Xing, ZHAO Duan-chang, GUO Qi-ming, L Jun-li
The strata lithology is comprised of schist and gneiss in Altay, northwestern Xinjiang. The Altay area is a part of the Chonghuer-Qinghe structural construction zone extending from Tawunaisazi to the southern slope of the Mongolian Altai. The construction zone with special geographical location and tectonic deformation is an active research topic on development, evolution of Altai orogen. By collecting and analyzing data of material composition, metamorphism, deformation of the metamorphic rocks (Precambrian) in Altai region, and by regional stratigraphic correlation, we divided the strata into construction-rock (strata) units. We proposed the strata undergone in-depth regional dynamo-thermal metamorphism of amphibolite facies, and the strata was a part of the Precambrian basement in Altai region. The deformation of the Kemuqi Group (early Paleoproterozoic) and Supute Group (middle Paleoproterozoic) had characteristics with multi-stage and multi-level, and reserved extensive tectonic deform information in different structural levels.

Geological Characteristics and Genesis of the ShuiyindongGold Deposit, Guizhou
QI Shao-feng, CHEN Fa-en, FENG Lin, SHI Yi
The Shuiyindong gold deposit is a typical carlin type gold deposit in the contiguous areas of Yunnan-Guizhou-Guangxi provinces. The gold ore-bodies are controlled by fault structures within anticlinal axis, and distributed in an unconformity interface between Longtan Formation (P

) and Maokou Formation (P

) of Permian Period. The wave-shaped ore-bodies eastwardly plunged in strike direction, and spatially overlapped in vertical direction. It is suggested that the Shuiyindong gold deposit is a carlin type gold deposit which occurred in structural alteration zone of sedimentary carbonate rocks, and is controlled by fault-hydrothermal system. The ore-forming environment is characterized by epithermal, high pressure.

Geological Characteristics of Bauxite Deposits in Wuchuan-Zheng′an-Daozhen Area, Guizhou Province
HAN Zhong-hua
The Wuchuan-Zheng′an-Daozhen bauxite metallogenic belt is an important bauxite concentration area in Guizhou, and even in China. Up to today, 2 super large scale deposits, 9 super scale deposits and 14 medium scale deposits have been explored in this belt, while the calculated resource reserve has increased to more than 700 million tons. According to palaeo-pollens, the ore-bearing rock series is Upper Carboniferous, and it is unconformable with overlying Middle Permian Liangshan Formation; according to fossils. The ore-bearing rock series are mainly composed of clay rock, bauxite rock ferriferous rock. The ore bodies coexist with bauxite and clay rocks, and distribute in middle-upper section of Upper Carboniferous Dazhuyuan Formation. The ore bodies emerge as bedded, parabedded, lenticular shapes and are consistent with the occurrence of their surrounding rocks. The natural types of the bauxite are hoary and grayish clastic-earthy bauxite, gray and dark gray dense bauxite and gray pisolitic bauxite. The ore textures include clastic texture, oolitic texture, mud grain texture, powder grain texture, clastic- pisolitic composite texture; the ore structures include massive structure and semi-earthy structure. The geological characteristics of bauxite deposits have been summarized basing on comprehensive studies of metallogenic epoch, rock types, profile types, thickness variation, floor limestone changes, ore bodies morphology, ore textures and ore structures in Wuchuan-Zheng′an-Daozhen bauxite metallogenic belt.

Geological Characteristics and Significances of Bainong Copper-gold Deposit in Gaize County, Tibet
MA De-sheng, XIONG Xing-guo, BAI Pei-rong
In this paper, the regional geological background and characteristics of ore-bearing rock in Bainong copper-gold deposit had been studied. The characteristics of the copper-gold deposits were incompatible with porphyry deposit and were quite close with diorite and quartz diorite which were formed in early Cretaceous during subduction of Bangongco-Nujiang ocean. On these bases, we proposed that Bainong deposit was related to the diorite and was a skarn type deposit. These achievements further perfected deposit types in the study area and provided new data for copper-gold prospecting in Bangongco-Nujiang River metallogenic belt.
