Current states of world petroleum resource and its future trends
LUAN Xiwu
The current states of world oil and gas resources, the relationship between world oil and gas supply and demand, and the trend of world oil and gas price change and economic development have been detailed and analyzed in this paper. We noticed that in a limited time span (e.g. 100 years), world oil and gas discovery and production would go up other than follow a bell shape, and excess oil and gas supply and low oil and gas prices would maintain a long time (e.g. 10 years). The author recommends that both the government and company should reduce upstream investment, limit funding should focus on giant basin and prolific hydrocarbon depressions guiding by low cost and high efficiency policy, and more effort should shift to renewable energy development. Low-carbon and healthy environment should be the common goal of mankind.

Geological-geochemical features and genesis of Shuiyindong Carlin gold deposit in southwestern Guizhou Province
CHEN Yangyang, CHEN Bing
The Shuiyindong gold deposit is located in the western section of Huijiabao antiline, and it is an important component of Huijiabao Carlin ore field. The orebodies occur in stratified or stratoid shape in high-porosity bioclastic limestone of the Upper Permian Longtan Formation within 300 m near the axis of the Huijiabao anticline. The shape of the orebodies is similar with that of the anticline. The main metal minerals are pyrite, arsenopyrite, realgar and orpiment. The gold mineralization related closely with silicification, dolomitization and pyritization. The geochemical study of isotopes indicates that the ore-forming materials mainly originated from plutonic source. Based on metallogenic condition of the Shuiyindong gold deposit, it is proposed that special tectonic background, favorable hosting rock assemblage and rich ore-forming materials and fluids are favorable conditions for gold mineralization. These are helpful for further understanding of Carlin gold mineralization, and can provide useful recommendations for reasonable exploration of gold resources in southwestern Guizhou Province.

Application of high precision gravity survey in ‘Datangpo’ type manganese deposits
LI Jiabin, ZHU Dayou, QU Niannian, ZHANG Xijun
The work of 1∶200 000 regional gravity surveys has been carried out deeply for a long time in China, and a large number of prospecting anomalies have been delineated in previous study. How to analyze these gravity anomalies? How to discuss subsurface occurrence of geologic bodies, such as stock, dyke, dike, fault structure and ore-bearing formation which associate closely with mineralization in detail? It is urgent to break through these bottlenecks which relate to deep prospecting. The work of high precision gravity survey for complex and varied terrain is relatively late in China, and it is even blank in Guizhou province. In order to develop and implement regional geophysical survey and high precision gravity survey in metallogenic belt of Guizhou province, the testing work has carried out in the Daotuo polymetallic reconnaissance area of Songtao county basing on its prospecting mineral is the dominant mineral of Guizhou province. It is proposed that high precision gravity survey is effective for Datangpo type manganese deposits, which provides practical basis for high precision gravity survey in similar region.

Application of linear regression analytical method to predict iron ore resources of Xuzhou area
QIAN Jing, WANG Guoqiang, HUANG Youbo
Xuzhou has a long history in iron ore mining, and it is an old mining base with mature industrial production condition and recoverable resources exhaustion. Predicting the iron ore resources and mineralization potential scientifically has great practical significance in the study area. The relative reasonable predicting factors are selected according to geological background of iron ore resources in Xuzhou area; the effective prediction units are determined by correlation degree calculation. Furthermore, the linear regression analytical method is applied to estimate the resources of the prediction units, and the results are commented reasonably.

Major progress and achievements in regional geological survey of 1∶250 000 Chenzhou sheet
BAI Daoyuan, JIA Baohua, MA Tieqiu, WANG Xianhui, LIU Yaorong, MA Aijun, ZHANG Xiaoyang, CHEN Bihe
Through surface investigation, sample testing and using previous data, the regional geological survey of 1∶250 000 Chenzhou sheet has studied the overall characteristics of the strata, magmatic rocks and structures, and has summarized the general situation of mineral resources. The regional geological survey has studied the granitic magmatism, the tectonic regime, the deformation dynamic mechanisms, the uplift process of mounts, the tectonic evolution and the tectonic-magmatic-mineralization dynamic mechanisms in Mesozoic, and studied the nature of the Nanhuan-Cambrian basin in southeastern Hunan in the central segment of the Nanling Mountains, and achieved progress as follows: ①the characteristics of major and trace elements suggested that the Nanhuan-Cambrian sandstones from southeastern Hunan were formed in a tectonic setting of passive continental margin; ②the Indosinian Movement in late Middle Triassic in southeastern Hunan was characterized by the intracontinental subduction-convergence controlled by the NWW-SEE compression; we suggested that the sinistral strike-slip motions of the NW-trending basement hidden faults in Indosinian Movement caused N-S-directed lineament in Shuikoushan-Xianghualing area and NWW-directed lineament in Jiangjunmiao-Anren area; we proposed that the trough like folds in Yanling-Rucheng area were formed by the transverse shrinking and flattening of the basement (thick-skin); ③the forming ages of the Indosinain, the Early Yanshanian and the Late Yanshanian granitoids were 233-210 Ma, 174-135 Ma and 154-163 Ma, and their forming tectonic settings were post-collisional setting, post-orogenic setting and intraplate rift setting, respectively; ④through the thermochronological dating study, we revealed that the Meso-Cenozoic uplift process of southeast Hunan could be divided into 4 stages, developing in order of fairly rapid uplift→rapid uplift→slow uplift→rapid uplift; ⑤studying on multiple geological elements, we defined the framework of Mesozoic tectonic evolution in southeastern Hunan and the Hunan-Guangdong-Jiangxi border area, which is of the Early Triassic-early Middle Triassic pre-orogenic stage, the late Middle Triassic-early Middle Jurassic intracontinental orogenic stage, the early Middle Jurassic-Late Jurassic post-orogenic stage and the Cretaceous intraplate rift stage; ⑥we also revealed that the first cause for the fact that the ore-forming capacity of the early Yanshanian granites in southeastern Hunan was far larger than that of the Indosinian granites is the differences in tectonic setting and tectonic regime, and the second cause is the difference in geochemistry of granites; we suggested that the formation of the W-Sn-polymetallic and Pb-Zn-polymetallic deposit assemblage is probably mainly related to such factors as the structure (or thickness) of the lithosphere, intensity of thermal perturbations in the deep interior of the Earth and corresponding scale of magmatism and depth of pluton emplacement.

The stratigraphic profile of Jinshitan stretches from Liangshui bay, through Dalinzi coast to Jinshitan port of Getun. Go along the Jinshitan profile, we can see Yingchengzi Formation, Shisanlitai Formation, Majiatun Formation, Cuijiatun Formation and Xingmincun Formation which formed in Neoproterozoic Sinian period; and we can see Getun Formation, Dalinzi Formation, Jianchang Formation and Mantou Formation which formed in Early Paleozoic Cambrian period. The Getun Formation and Dalinzi Formation are named after stratotype profile. The others are named after local sub-areas of Dalian area except Jianchang Formation and Mantou Formation. During geological survey of the stratigraphic profile, we can enjoy the geological and geomorphological landscape of ‘Rose garden’, ‘Dinosaur garden’, ‘Nanxiu garden’ and ‘Turtle garden’.

. The airborne gravity data covers Eastern Bohai Sea, North Yellow Sea, Liaodong Peninsula and Shandong Peninsula. Based on the new data and integrated study, many important results, including the basement structure morphology, the boundaries of the main structural units, the characteristics of fault structure, and the delineation of local structural anomalies have been gained. These achievements are favorable for marine regional geological survey, petroleum exploration and integrated investigation of the marine geo-environment in coastal zones.

Application of seismic technology to predicting the delta sand body of Dongying Formation in Chengdao Eastern Slope of Shandong Province
CHEN Yan, ZHANG Mingzhen, LUO Xia, SHI Xiaoguang
In recent years, more attentions have been paid to the Dongying Formation of Chengdao area for its tremendous exploration potential in Shengli oilfield. The sediments are dominated by fluvial and delta sedimentary system, but the seismic reflection characteristics of sand bodies are complex; the lateral variation is large; and it is difficult to identify and evaluate the reservoir. To descript the reservoirs more effective, the high resolution sequence stratigraphic framework is established according to the isochronous formation framework. There are distinct differences between the lacustrine deposition and delta deposition in sediment characteristics and seismic response. Based on the cores, geological and geophysical logging data, and combined with the macroscopic characteristics of seismic attribution and seismic facies, the general range of delta deposition could be separated approximately from lacustrine deposition. The seismic reflection is relatively weak in delta area and the difference value of seismic velocity between sandstone and mudstone is small. The technology of waveform analysis integrated with 6 parameters is used to distinguish and describe the type of waveform, and twelve kinds of seismic waveform which corresponding to 4 primary sedimentary micro-facies are determined. At last, the method of neural network is used successfully to identify the sedimentary micro-facies.

LI Li, LIU Yongquan, PANG Yingchun, CHEN Xiaoting, DENG Yanli
Large amount of geological data are achieved in geological survey and mineral exploration projects of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and these need unified management and effective sharing for servicing the economic and social development in this underdevelopment area of China. The Web publishing system for measured stratigraphic profile can exhibit and release spatial distribution characteristics and geological data in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau based on WebGIS technology. We can visualize the major information of measured stratigraphic profile in completed projects by this system, including location, measured strata, length, production entity, date, profile, and even rock characteristics, fossil species, and strata thickness. The Web publishing system provides services of retrieval and query, map browsing and print, and introduction of related geological background.
