Achievements and Significance of Lead-Zinc Exploration in Zhangwei-Wuzhishan Area of Guizhou Province
TAN Hua, CHEN Guo-yong, ZHAO Zheng, LU Guang-yan, ZHOU Jian-bo
In this project, we selected lead and zinc as the main exploration target, and the working area located in concentration zones of lead-zinc deposits from Zhangwei to Wuzhishan. On the basis of synthetic study, using the integrated geological and geophysical methods, combining with drilling and tunneling projects, the Nayongzhi deposit of Wuzhishan area and the Shuidong deposit of Zhangwei area have been explored. The prospecting effect was quite good that we estimated 333+334 lead zinc metal resources 2,156,500 tons, in which 333 lead zinc resources 520,300 tons. On these bases, we established the prospecting model of lead-zinc deposits in Wuzhishan area, forecasted that the prospecting area distributed in Shayan, Lishuiyan, Narun and Yujiaba of Wuzhishan area, Yizekong of Zhangwei area, Damachang and Yantang of Guohua area; and proposed that these area were worth of further exploration. After the late stage exploration, 3 medium mines were constructed, and local residents’ income and local government’s financial revenue were increased. This project has economy and social significance to Wumengshan poverty area.

DENG Jun, CHEN Yue, HUANG Hong-wei, LIANG Yu-ping, HE Hai-zhou, CHEN Sheng,WU Tian-sheng, YANG Zhi-qiang, WEI Fang, LUO Li-ying
In this project, we discovered a new accumulation type bauxite source bed of early Carboniferous in Longzhou district, and proposed that there were at least two metallogenic epochs of accumulation type bauxite source beds in Guangxi which were early Carboniferous and late Permian. We tried to search for ancient weathering crust sedimentary bauxite by using the high density resistivity method of prospecting effectiveness test work. We submitted 4 newly discovered mineral lands, and figured out 52 891.5 kilotons of bauxite resources (334
1
). We redefined the regional stratigraphic lithology and facies characteristics, and summarized the bauxite deposits (occurrences) temporal and spatial distribution characteristics, controlling ore-forming geological conditions, metallogenic regularities and prospecting criteria. We established the regional metallogenic model and prospecting model, delineated 5 metallogenic prospective areas and determined 6 prospecting target areas. In addition, we forecasted the prospecting potential of bauxite in the Fusui-Chongzuo district,Guangxi. All these progress and achievements provide fruitful basic materials and beneficial reference for further geological survey, mineral exploration and development.

Characteristics of Hydrogen, Oxygen Isotopes and Trace Elements in Surface Water of Aba Area in Sichuan
SHI Ze-ming, WANG Xin-yu, NI Shi-jun
Aba is a region with high altitude, located in the northwest of Sichuan, and at the junction with Qinghai and Gansu provinces. Aba is rich in surface water resources that the Yangtze River and Yellow River both flow across this area. Through systematically sampling the rivers water (76), wells water (7) and streams (8), and analyzing the contents of
18
O, D and trace elements in water, we revealed that ① The contents of D and
18
O in river water of Aba were significantly higher than streams, wells and tap water. Linear correlation analysis indicated that the enrichment of
18
O was closely related to the dissolution of sulfuric minerals; ② There was obvious hydraulic link among well water, tap water and streams in Aba; ③ In Aba, isotopic composition of oxygen and hydrogen in river water of Yellow River system were closing to that of Yangtze River system, which was due to the same rainfall source at the same area; ④ The trace elements of surface water were quite close with the surrounding rocks, with the characteristics of high concentrations of Ba, Zn, Cr, and low concentrations of As, Pb, Cd, which indicated that the trace elements in surface water was mainly affected by the geological background.

The Main Research Achievements of Geo-environment Survey and Regionalization in Jiangsu
ZHANG Li, HUANG Jing-jun, MIAO Shi-xian
Research on division of geoenvironment is of great significance to protect the geoenvironment effectively and to perform the functions of the geo-environment protection and management. This proposal is not only the pilot project for nationwide geo-environment classification carried out by Planning Division of Ministry of Land and Resources, but also an essential part of the sustainable geo-environment protection for Jiangsu Province. It was conducted as first maturely demonstration project, and therefore the implementation of this proposal will provide the fundamental principles for any further researches.Basing on the analysis of concept and connotation of geoenvironment regionalization, we established the ideas of geoenvironment regionalization in Jiangsu which included a comprehensive division and 6 specialized divisions. Considering the natural and social attributes of the geo-environment, we established the evaluation index system for 6 specialized divisions, i.e., geological disasters (prevention), mine geological environment (protection), mountain resource conservation, geological heritage protection, groundwater pollution prevention, and soil pollution prevention. The evaluation of 6 specialized divisions was carried out by the space analysis module of MapGIS.The geoenvironment comprehensive division had been done based on the results of specialized divisions. The first order of comprehensive geological environment division is oriented to the geological environment problems, and the second order of division is oriented to the geological environment function. This paper offered geoenvironmental protection plan proposals from two aspects of geological resources security and geological environmental safety.
